The Residencial GOA is located in the South East of the Sao Vicente Island, near Calhau. This village of fishermen is known for its two black Volcanoes and its long beach of white sands, Praia Grande, an excellent surf and body board spot (also Sandy Beach and Topim Beach more south of the hotel).
We desired that our small hotel integrates harmoniously with the beautiful scenery surrounding it: its colors are discrete, 2 floors overlook the beach, a large inside open court welcomes the guests. We are at the moment offering ten bedrooms, but more will be available in the future.
GOA is ideally located since, from our windows, we can admire five genuine jewels of Mother Nature: Santo Antao Island, Santa Luzia Island (unpopulated, natural park) and Sao Nicolau Island, as well as the small isles of Branco and Razo.
Finally of course, Sao Vicente Island, with less than 50 feet away, Praia Branca beach where turtles hide their offspring late in the summer, and further the gorgeous Pico del Vento. Behind the hotel, the valley opens itself until it reaches the feet of the Vianne Volcano to finish into beautiful beaches.

Because we are paying very close attention to the comfort and well being of our guests, the
bedrooms are big, well lit, and equipped with care (large beds, private patios, and hot water). The
patios that open onto the beach are a real pleasure in the mornings. After enjoying the breath taking
views, you may even have the chance to see giant sea turtles depositing their eggs in the sand. In the
past, we have helped the offspring reach the ocean, and we wish that all of our guests can experience
such an emotional moment. Later, you will taste the local products delivered fresh from the neighboring
market: goat cheese, papaya, local jams, fresh fruit juices, etc. A real pleasure to start your day.
Later, the calm of the inside patio will tempt you into reading exchanging information for the
preparation of various hikes. GOA does not have a restaurant at the moment (in preparation), but we will
recommend you the good tables of Calhau and Mindelo; the capeverdian gastronomy is filled with all the seafood
and fish of São Vicente, a real treat.
