The Residencial GOA holds his name from a neighboring mountain (Monte Goa) that shows years of erosion from the constant wind and hot weather. Goa was named during the Portuguese occupation of the island and of course refers also to the famous Indian town also with a past of Portuguese colony.
This country that you might not know is an archipelago of ten gorgeous islands, with one still not populated (visible from the hotel which reinforce that tranquility and sensation to be secluded from the rest of the world). Local people are very welcoming, any newcomer discovering Cape Verde really appreciate the quality of life and the social contacts of the Cape Verdians.
São Vicente Island is principally known for its Port town of Mindelo, a city with a long and beautiful history and that today is still represented as the cultural capital of the archipelago. The famous diva Cesaria Evora lives there and comes to rest between her international tours.
After falling in love with this attractive island, we build a little hotel at human scale, developed and thought to welcome curious travelers, in a quest of comfort and calm.
